Often there are physical symptoms that accompany their worries such as headaches, irritability and trembling. They tend to have difficulty concentrating and often have issues with sleeping.
Social Anxiety Disorder
Also called social phobia, social anxiety disorder involves overwhelming worry and self-consciousness about everyday social situations. The worry often centres on a fear of being judged by others, or behaving in a way that might cause embarrassment or lead to ridicule.
In many cases, interacting socially becomes very stressful and even emotionally painful. Some people have the feeling that they are constantly being judged by others. Social anxiety can affect a child’s schooling and academic progress, in adults Social Anxiety disorder can affect their personal and professional life. Sufferers typically say they are really worried about being embarrassed or humiliated.
Panic Disorder
Sufferers from the panic disorder have feelings of terror that strike suddenly and repeatedly with no warning. Other symptoms of a panic attack include sweating, chest pain, palpitations (unusually strong or irregular heartbeats), and a feeling of choking, which may make the person feel like he or she is having a heart attack or going crazy.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorders
Sufferers from Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCB) feel the need to check things repeatedly, have certain thoughts repeatedly, or feel they need to perform certain routines repeatedly. People are unable to control either the thoughts or the activities. Common activities include hand washing, counting of things, and checking to see if a door is locked. Some may have difficulty throwing things out. These activities occur to such a degree that the person's daily life is negatively affected. Often they take up more than an hour a day. Most adults realize that the behaviours do not make sense. The condition is associated with tics, anxiety disorder, and an increased risk of suicide.
