How to Spot if You’re at Risk of Job Burnouts?

Job burnout is a special type of job stress that can slowly affects your job, your family life and your physical health. It is a state of physical, emotional or mental exhaustion combined with doubts about your competence and the value of your work. Today, Psychologist Shivani Misri Sadhoo shares the checklist for identifying job burnout situation, she asks the readers to ask themselves a few questions like:-

1.  Are you becoming irritable or impatient with your colleagues, customers or with your family members?

2.  Are you frequently suffering from headaches, backaches or other physical complaints like an ulcer or gastritis?

3.  Are you frequently suffering from feeling that you have to drag yourself to the office?

4.  Are losing enthusiasm to start any new work at the office?

5.  Are you lacking the energy to be consistently productive?

6.  Lately, are you are having trouble with your eating and sleeping habits?

7.  Are you feeling the need to take alcohol to feel better?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to or more of the above answers , then take the situation seriously, simply taking short holidays might not work for you, you need to consult a mental health expert or a psychologist for professional help. Some of these symptoms can also indicate certain health conditions, such as a thyroid disorder or depression.
