Do you know the three Non-Physical Traits that Can Make You Irresistibly Attractive?

Over the centuries society and cultures have largely associated beauty with the person’s skin color, physical built and getup. At the same time philosophers, poets and a certain segment of people kept mentioning that beauty is skin deep. But now research has revealed that indeed there is much more to attraction than good looks.

Researchers Viren Swami and Adrian Furnham in their book “The Psychology of Physical Attraction” has explored various aspects of beauty – like how people select their partners, how they get attracted to another person etc. The research reveals that beauty may be skin deep, but the attraction is much deeper—and much more durable.  Romantic feelings are generated by far more than superficial appeal.  Personal appearance is important, but so is what lies beneath. 

So what are those non-physical traits of a person that make him/her attractive to others? Speaking on this matter Delhi’s eminent relational counselor Shivani Misri Sadhoo shares such non-physical ;

1. Good Sense of Humour

A good sense of humor may be good for dating prospects because funny people are apparently more attractive.  Elizabeth McGee in a study entitled “Effect of Humor on Interpersonal Attraction and Mate Selection,” (2009) found that people with a good sense of humor were rated as more attractive, and viewed as more suitable long-term partners compared to more serious counterparts.  

2. Faithfulness

More than 8 out of 10 women (or 84% of women) rated "faithful to me" when a large group of women was surveyed to rate the top attributes they find sexy in a man. Women want to be reassured that the man should always find her beautiful and keeps loving her.

3. Dependability

It might sound cliché in today’s time but, surveys have proved that a large percentage of women do look for a guy who's not afraid of commitment. A large percentage of women look for in a man is who's good at follow-through.

4. Kindness

A large percentage of women find men attractive if they are kind because kindness inspires confidence. In other words, if you treat the waitress well, your date figures you'll treat her well, too. So be nice.

5. Moral Integrity

People find the person with moral integrity attractive. If a person has the guts, to tell the truth, they usually turn out to be good, caring partner over the period of time.

6. Seduction of Storytelling

The ability to tell good stories has always captured the attention of people. In fact, storytelling capability is considered as one of the personality traits that both captivates and attracts people. For men, good storytelling capability can enhance their attractiveness and can highly influence their prospective partner.
