India's Leading Couples Therapist Shivani Misri Sadhoo Gets Featured in India's Leading Media House India Today
Travel has always been seen as a way to escape the grind of deadlines, Excel sheets, and the endless loop of busy weekends. But sometimes, it’s not about escaping work at all—it’s about coping with something much deeper. This is where the concept of grief travel comes in.
Unlike typical vacations filled with sightseeing and bucket
lists, grief travel is about processing loss—a breakup, the passing of a loved
one, or a personal setback. It’s less about monuments and more about finding
space to untangle the heaviness within.
“Travel introduces change—new faces, unfamiliar streets,
different smells—and in that shift, something inside starts to soften. You may
not forget your grief, but you begin to carry it differently,” explains Shivani
Misri Sadhoo, one of India’s leading marriage counsellors and psychologists,
in her conversation with India Today.
